Zinedine Zidane has backed the appointment of Rafa Benitez as Real
Madrid manager but says that only reclaiming the La Liga title will
suffice in his first season at the Santiago Bernabeu. Benitez signed a
three-year contract to replace Carlo Ancelotti at the helm of Madrid and
Zidane is sure Benitez knows what is expected of him because he is
returning to the club he started his coaching career at 20 years ago.
'The club has selected Benitez and it's a good decision,' Zidane said to
Marca. 'You need to respect that decision. Benitez is a good choice,
but what counts are results.
